How we print
Our printing methods
You bring the design, and we’ll work out the best way to print it. Most jobs are printed with DTF, and we use DTG when a design suits it better.
Lots of printing goes by the names DTF and DTG, but the quality varies a lot. We use the latest, most advanced versions of both, fine-tuned and tested in our own Wollongong workshop, and a real person checks every design before it prints.
DTF
Direct to film
Our go-to for most prints. Your design is printed onto a film with water-based ink, then heat-applied to the garment. We prepare every design with professional techniques, so it looks sharp, feels good to wear and moves with the fabric.
- Unmatched durability, flexibility and vibrant colour
- Works on a wide range of fabrics
- Suits most designs, from logos to workwear
DTG
Direct to garment
When a design needs it. A printer puts water-based ink straight onto the garment. We use it for:
- Full photo prints
- Designs with large blocks of ink
- Some designs on white or light shirts
100% cotton only, and wash it as a delicate.

Looking after your print
Wash at 40° or below on a delicate cycle, inside out, with a mild detergent (DTG prints always need the delicate cycle). Line dry rather than tumble dry, and don’t iron directly over the print. More in Care and Returns.
